Covid19. A name that no one is unfamiliar with today. The virus that turned the world upside down. The world we had grown accustomed to, used to, forgotten. Nothing is the same today as it once was. Everything has changed. Fear, anxiety, and uncertainty have descended like a fog on the lives of millions, even billions. The horizon has narrowed. So has space. The four walls had become a cell instead of a happy home. From which no exit is suggested. The touch that fed me suddenly threatened to become a risk factor. We could go on and on, but this is a subject that needs no special explanation or description. Because, unfortunately, no one on the face of the earth does not know what it is all about. So change has happened, and we have started to adapt. Because we had no choice. But how and what can we do to make the transition easier?

The home office has become a concept

Staying at home has automatically brought with it a radical change in working conditions. Although the use of the internet and smart devices was still significant until 2019-2020, the start of the quarantine has seen a shocking increase in the figures recorded statistically. For many, the home office seemed unthinkable until the emergency inevitably brought it to fruition. Families were stuck between four walls. Places of learning, work, and leisure became intertwined common spaces. It was not just a physical challenge and strain. The constriction of space, the lack of separation, and the loss of community, as left many people spiritually shattered. Not without reason. As a social being, it is difficult to experience both the lack of companionship and the oppressive environment of constant coexistence. And these two things were simultaneously prevalent in most households. Many people indeed experienced a sense of loneliness, which was also a great trial.

The only positive aspect of all this is the fact, now undisputed and irrefutable, that the Internet has the potential to create communities, provide an optimal working environment, and offer an alternative to the personal presence where appropriate. It is also much more economical to maintain since there is no need for offices.

Is noise pollution a more serious problem than ever?

Yes! It has always been a problem, even if most people have ignored it. But as space has become more limited in practical terms, noise has become more concentrated. The sounds of working, learning, and other noises were added to the sounds of household appliances. So cacophony was guaranteed. But what is the solution? Do we all plug our ears to block out unwanted sound effects? This is certainly not a permanent solution. Moreover, nighttime is out of the question.

Acoustic panels, soundproofing curtains, and sound-absorbing carpets can be a remedy. And not just any remedy. Such a congested living situation is not a minor stress factor. Add to this the fact that noise pollution is a major test of the nervous system’s tolerance, and you can quickly get a stressful, tension-filled picture. So, if frustration can be reduced or eliminated in the long term, it is certainly worth its weight in gold!

Online theatre, cinema, and lots of music?

Outside of work, the entertainment industry has also been forced to transform, with the number of recreational opportunities reduced to zero during the quarantine. Thanks to streaming services, however, theatre and film screenings have enriched the lives of people stranded at home. And that’s not all. Suddenly, shopping has become a problem area. Who should go? Where to go? When? How? Online shops provided a convenient, secure platform for shopping. What is arguably positive is that this trend has continued. More and more people have realized that a lot of time and energy can be saved by not having to go to the shops, queue, wait at the checkout, sit in traffic jams, etc. to buy food and other products.

Yes, but for theatrical performances or cinema screenings to be at their best, and not just visually, it is essential to create the ideal acoustics. Once again, we come to the acoustic panels that make it possible. In an audible, ear-pleasing way. Although the experience was not close to the atmosphere of a theatre or cinema in terms of ambiance, as far as the audible product is concerned, well, even studio quality as an adjective is not an exaggeration!

The atmosphere created by the acoustic props, the sumptuous sound, and the body-mind-relieving sound absorption combines to create an environment whose beneficial effects can still be enjoyed to the full. And if for some reason the picture, in this case, the sound, is still incomplete, it can be done easily, quickly, and with incredible results. Because a life without noise is not a luxury, not a privilege, but a space that everyone, without exception, inherently deserves, as well as peace, quiet, and a sound experience that is a pleasure to the ears!
